Design and create your own first flat mosaic for indoor or outdoor use. Classes are a balanced mix of theory and practical to give you a thorough understanding of the mosaic process. Learn how to cut ceramic tile, glass and other materials, prepare surfaces so that they are waterproof and durable, choose the correct products to use and how to grout properly.

About the tutor: Luna Cameron-Parrish is an experienced mixed media artist and sculptor who has been creating mosaics and teaching classes for 15 years. She will guide you through each step at your own pace to ensure that you have the confidence to go home and create more masterpieces!

Full course notes, substrates, adhesives and grouts provided. Please bring your own tiles (suggested materials list below):

• Ceramic Wall Tiles (no floor tiles please), such as those available at Bunnings

• Flat stained-glass sheets, such as those used for lead-ligthing • Small mosaic vitreous glass tiles from tile flooring shops • Old broken crockery • Found objects such as shells, bottle caps or buttons
